Biography
      Sharif Shihata joined the Firm in 1994.The breadth of experience that Sharif brings to the Firm is a natural complement to the Firm's Corporate Department and his rich experience is an invaluable resource to emerging and established businesses.  Sharif advises on international trade contracts and disputes, construction, IT, IP and labor matters, and finding suitable and effective forms of establishment of new businesses. Sharif has substantial experience in drafting and negotiating of distribution, franchise, agency, and license agreements, employment contracts, as well as sale, lease, supply, manufacturing, construction, and other contracting agreements in addition to drafting legal opinions on a wide range of corporate issues. 


In the construction and real estate development sectors, Mr. Shihata has reviewed, drafted, and advised on numerous construction and real estate development contracts (including FIDIC-based contracts) for major projects in Egypt including Capital Business Park and Palma Sharm Resort (Dorra Group), Cairo Festival City (Al Futtaim- Carillion), Uptown Cairo and Marassi (Emaar Properties), Carrefour (Majid Al Futtaim), the Cairo Metro (Vinci Construction), and the Children’s Cancer Hospital in Cairo, as well as working on construction-related disputes for Staveley Industries, ABB Susa, Uzinexport, Posco Engineering & Construction, and Skanska Cementation International.
