Khaled joined the Firm in February 2012. Before joining the firm, Khaled interned with the United Nations Commission on International Trade law in Vienna.
Khaled was a member of the Firm’s Dispute Resolution Department. He was involved in drafting submissions and representing clients before local Courts and in international arbitration. Khaled has represented an Italian Malaysian Joint Venture executing a major Oil & Gas Project in Sudan in an arbitration in which the value of the claims exceeded one billion USD. He has also acted as counsel for several clients in Investment Arbitration.
Khaled is now a member of the Firm’s Corporate Department. He is currently working on a USD 200 million Construction Project relating to the Construction of an off-shore Marine Terminal Product Hub. He is handling all aspects of this Project starting from preparing all the tender documents, handling the financing of the Project to drafting the agreements with the Contractors as well as the potential users of the Marine Terminal.
Furthermore, Khaled is involved in drafting and reviewing the full suite of documents related to company incorporation, corporate agreements, property sales, lease agreements, agency/distribution agreements and due diligence reports. Khaled provides legal advice on employee issues including appointment and dismissal, leave and attendance, employment agreements, severance agreements, misconduct, internal investigations and reductions in force. Khaled is a member of the Egyptian Bar Association.
