Sherry El Shalakany joined the Firm in November 2007 in the Corporate Department up to date. Sherry is involved in drafting and reviewing all types of contracts. Sherry provides day-to-day legal advice to multinational and Egyptian companies on various aspects, such as but not limited to corporate, commercial, insurance, reinsurance, capital markets, employment and tax issues.
Sherry worked on various numbers of merger and acquisition transactions that require extensive and advanced level of due-diligence reports. Sherry is a member of the team that handled major transactions, such as the sale of the ice cream business and carve out assets of Nestlé SA, and the acquisition of 100% of the share capital of Misr Glass Manufacturing Company to Middle East Glass Manufacturing Company.
Sherry also assists with the preparation and negotiation of major project finance transactions, and she drafts loan and financial facility agreements, such as but not limited to The Arab Petroleum Pipelines Company, S.A.E. “SUMED” project known as "Ain Sukhna Product Hub ASPH".
Sherry has extensive experience in the field of labor-management relations, providing advice on employee issues including hiring, dismissing, discipline, leave and attendance, employment agreements, severance agreements, collective agreements, misconduct, internal investigations, and redundancy in force, as well as providing legal opinions on employee unions and staff representations, termination of employment contracts, procedures, precautions and the consequences thereto, and the drafting of personnel regulations;
Sherry has been a member of the Egyptian Bar Association since 2009.
